the soul of the estate

A rare gem from the heart of Provence

Château d’Esclans, the estate wine made from Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino), brings together the different approaches used to craft our wines, stainless steel and barrel fermentation, giving it a unique cross between freshness and complexity making it a full style rosé with a smooth and creamy texture that is rich and long on the palate.

Château d’Esclans is…

Predominately floral notes followed by red berry fruit with a touch of vanilla and pear.

A wonderful smooth and creamy texture, which is both rich and long on the palate.

A complex and elegant wine, with power, length and a textural, saline finish.

Well structured with rich, yet elegant mouthfeel…

Markus del Monego 92+ Points

Pure on the nose. Long and finely chiseled on the palate

Winemakers Note

An earthy beauty called minerality

100% Estate grown and bottled

Chateau d’Esclans is made from grapes exclusively from the Vineyards of Chateau d’Esclans. Harvesting is conducted in the morning to help to avoid the heat of the day & to keep the crop fresh. Upon arriving in the Cellars, grapes are sorted for both health and quality through Optical Eye Sorting ensuring that the grapes, ultimately selected, are assessed accurately in terms of overall quality

Next is Soft Crushing followed by Temperature Reduction from approximately 20 degrees down to 7-8 degrees to lock in freshness and vivacity. Closed Circuit Pressing is conducted facilitating Minimal Oxidation producing Free Run Juice which is vinified half in 600 Liter Temperature controlled Oak Barrels (Demi Muids) in addition to Stainless Steel, Temperature Controlled, Fermentation Tanks during which Battonage is conducted twice weekly over an eight month period prior to bottling.
